The MUCEM and Festival de Marseille host the world premiere of this newly developed artwork by Sander van Bussel.The Scrolls of Rights are a visual representation of the Human Rights Tattoo project. The manifestation of these scrolls refers to humanity’s first form of handwritten texts of ink on parchment, using tattoo-ink on human skin instead. This work in progress presents all tattooed letters so far, making the first 23 articles of the declaration of human rights readable in tattoos.
