Tattoo Event
Queer Film Festival Nepal
We are very pleased that once again we have been invited to tattoo letters from the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in Kathmandu, Nepal.
This Human Rights Tattoo event will be held @ the 2nd Queer film festival in Kathmandu which is Nepal’s foremost queer cinema event. HRT is hosted by the organisers Docskool-Documentary Open School in Kathmandu. The QFF will be held @ Docskool’s new cinema Airavat Picture House in Thapathali and two other secondary venue which includes the French Center and a meeting room at Blue Diamond Society, Kathmandu, Nepal In preparation for this event a short film was produced by students of Docschool under the mentorship of Sander van Bussel, the artistic director of HRT. The finishing touch of this short film will be the tattooing of an HRT letter on the protagonist of the story. Further to films there will be workshops and interactions on Queer identity.

When
The Film Festival runs from 10-24 January.
The Human Rights Tattoo event will be on January 23-24, you can register starting at 11 AM till 6 PM. Register early and you will get a timeslot when the tattooing is due so you don’t have to miss any of the films or sessions.

Docskool’s new cinema Airavat Picture House in Thapathali; 142 Thapathali Road, Kathmandu 44600, Nepal.
Who
The event is open for everyone. The number of tattoos is however limited. All tattoos will be available on a first come first serve basis at the event.
