This year on December 10 (International Human Rights Day) the Universal Declaration of Human Rights is marking its 72th anniversary. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights, issued by the United Nations and born out of the horrors of the Second World War, remains a common endeavor for humanity to this day. On December 12, at a time of great disruption for the world, we will tattoo 72 letters of the Declaration of Human Rights to ensure this declaration will stay alive for years to come.
We are proud to announce that Human Rights Tattoo will be highlighting the 72th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights with 72 tattoos at The Mauritshuis; home of Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring and The Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Nicolaes Tulp by Rembrandt.
