Tattoo Event

Jawalakhel Wheelchair Sports Club

On Sunday March 1st we’ll be tattooing a part of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in Kathmandu, Nepal.

This Human Rights Tattoo event will take place during the International Wheelchair day, in cooperation with the Jawalakhel Sports Club. In the morning there will be a rally and a program to celebrate Wheelchair day.

When

March 1, 11:30 AM – 05:30 PM

Where

Ageno, the Hestia,
Ward No. 4, Dhobighat, Lalitpur
Nepal

The location is near to DAV College, opposite of Central Natiin Zoo.

Who

The event is open for everyone. The number of tattoos is however limited. First acces to available tattoo-slots will be reserved to those who are disabled, or advocating for the rights of wheelchairusers. All other tattoos will be available on a first come first serve basis at the event.

Tattoo artists

We will be collaborating with Studio JADS & Static Engravers: John Ma, Eek Glass Pani, Static Hobbit, Static Shiro and Porku.

Procedure of getting a tattoo

Upon arrival at the event you can register for a Human Rights Tattoo. You will receive a registration card with your letter on it. This will be the next letter in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. You can’t choose your letter but the font and the position on your body is up to you. You can pick a font type from the Human Rights Tattoo fonts catalogue that will be available on the spot. After your tattoo is done we take a super up-close picture of your tattoo, and a portrait that will be published on our website together with your statement. Please think about your statement (in English) upfront. A good statement is personal and gives an insight in your life and your personal relation to human rights.

Pay As You Please

Human Rights Tattoo works with a Pay As You Please system. This means you pay what you can afford. This makes our project accessible for everyone, no matter your background or budget.

Human Rights Tattoo depends on donations. We aim to spread the project around the world and to bring Human Rights Tattoo to places and countries where human rights are not taken for granted. You can leave your contribution in our Pay As You Please Box on the spot or feel free to make your donation here.

WE LOOK FORWARD SEEING YOU!
