HRT on tour in East and Southern Africa
This tour will be starting in Kenya and ending in Zimbabwe at May 17: International Day Against Homophobia Biphobia and Transphobia.
A slightly different format will be used this time than in previous events; instead of the well prepared and planned events with local tattoo artists and hosting-organisations, the HRT core team will go on tour; travelling from place to place to meet local activists, interview them and, of course, tattoo them.
This tour is partly sponsored by Share-Net International, the leading knowledge platform for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR); the other part is made possible by the kind donations of individuals like yourself. A big THANK YOU for that.

Human Rights Tattoo will be back in Nairobi!
We are proud to be back, as this project has roots in Nairobi. Right after the murder on community leader Steven Nyash in Korogocho in 2012 this crazy project was born. The idea of tattooing the Declaration of Human Rights sprouted from Sander van Bussel?s brain as an artistic response to Nyash?s murder. The event on Saturday is organized by Human Rights Activist Ezra Otieno, who followed in Nyash?s footsteps and focusses on local communities like Kibera and Korogocho.
We continue to make this chain of people, letter by letter, where no letter, no person can be missed!

We are halfway tattooing article 25 of the Universal Declaration:
?the right to security in the event of unemployment, sickness, disability, widowhood, old age or other lack of livelihood in circumstances beyond his control.?

As always; you can?t choose the letter; it will be the next letter in the text.
