Human Rights Tattoo is tattooing?the complete Universal Declaration of Human Rights onto the skins of 6.773 human beings around the world. One character ? one person. Individuals forming a unique collective, universally spread across countries and continents and covering all layers of our global society. From residents of slums to CEOs and from human rights lawyers to LGBTQ+ activists. If you are a human being, you have what it takes to become part of the Human Rights Tattoo movement. Everybody gets one letter. Everybody has their own unique story. Everybody is connected by bringing to life the complete and ground-breaking text from 1948.

And, it’s coming to the UK for the first time!

By invitation of CONTACT – Manchester UK, as they are celebrating 50 years of Contact.? Contact is a multi-arts venue that invests in the next generation, so everyone can hear the future’s voice. As Contact puts it: Positivity and performing arts can change lives. With real investment and the right infrastructure , we make this happen every day.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED

With only?30 tattoos available for people aged 18 – 30, individuals are invited to apply for the chance to be part of The Human Rights Tattoo Movement?and have one letter of The Human Rights Declaration tattooed on them.
